All Means All Recognition

Introducing the All Means All Inclusion Award for licensed centers and family child care programs.

This award is given to programs automatically when they meet the requirements below. The All Means All Award with show on a programs Care About Child Care Special Needs Tab that parents can see. The programs with also receive a certificate in the mail from URPD. No application is necessary.

The three requirements to earn the All Means All Award are:

  1. The Director or Family Child Care Provider need to have taken the 40 hour Special Needs Endorsement
  2. The program needs to have some information about what they do to support inclusion on the special needs section of their Care About Childcare page. (Purple Tab showing)
  3. The program needs to have achieved at least 2 of the criteria regarding inclusive practices on their Care About Childcare page

Care About Childcare Criteria that counts:

Under Family Involvement Indicator:

-Program accommodates Individualized Family Service Plans(IFSP) or Individualized Education Plans(IEP) for those children with special needs

-Families are given opportunity to participate in the planning of activities, and/or menu options for the children (families that have children with special need may want to make suggestions on adapting activities or menus to accommodate their child)

Under Program Indicator:

-Program has curriculum plans that include activities that support individual children's development goals (Great for all children. All means all! :-) )

-Program has a plan in place to accommodate children with special needs

Under Administration Indicator:

-Program has non-dicrimination policy for both staff, caregivers and families.
